Don’t infringe on base

I am the wife of a retired U.S. Navy sailor. I am amazed at the idea that people want to infringe on Fairchild Air Force Base.

In the first place, there is a huge casino in that area already. Yes, there are a lot of people working at the casino, but at minimum wage. We have families that have been out of work long enough to lose their homes and it is really hard to feed your family on minimum wage or part-time work.

I have lived on many military bases and they hire people at good wages. We need FAFB badly, not only because they make me feel safe, but because of all of the people they hire to work there.

Please don’t be fooled into building something that we don’t need and might take a longtime workplace out of our area.
