Friends may pay their respects Monday, March 10, 2014 from 9:00am - 4:00pm at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax.

Janet was born on July 6, 1926 at Winona, Washington to Keifer and Agnes (Lehrbas) Shawgo.
She grew up in the Winona-Endicott area and attended schools in both communities before graduating from Endicott High School.
She married high-school sweetheart Kirk McCall in Lewiston, Idaho on April 26, 1946 and the couple moved to Endicott where Kirk ran a service station.
In 1948 they moved out to the farm at Winona and raised livestock and had a small grain operation.
Janet was a master at crochet and knitting and enjoyed sewing and served as a needlecraft judge at the Whitman County Fair.
She was also an excellent cook and most guests who visited her home enjoyed sitting in the kitchen.
If you came to Janet’s house hungry you certainly didn’t leave that way since she always asked “Have you eaten?”
She enjoyed keeping up with her kids and grandkids sports and FFA activities and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Janet is survived by her sons Brian (Cindy) McCall of Reardan; Rodney McCall of Winona; Neal McCall of Ewan; her daughter Evelyn (Sandy) McCall-Sterrett of Davenport; cousin Ginger (Paul) McKenzie of Washtucna; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Kirk.
Memorial contributions in Janet’s honor are suggested to the LaCrosse United Methodist Church.
BRUNING FUNERAL HOME of Colfax has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
