Colfax 45, Toutle Lake 38

Amara Huber had 17 points and eight rebounds and the Bulldogs pulled away in the fourth quarter and beat the Ducks in the championship game.

Colfax opened the game on a 12-0 run. Toutle Lake finally got on the board with 1:39 remaining in the first, when Britzy Hockett made one of two free throws. The Ducks, however, scored the final five points of the quarter to narrow the gap.

Colfax led 24-20 at the half. The Ducks pulled even for the first time on Samantha Woodley’s layin midway through the third. They took their first lead early in the fourth quarter on Bailey Hockett’s jumper, but the Bulldogs outscored them 17-8 the rest of the way to secure the win.

The Ducks struggled on offense throughout, shooting 25 percent from the floor in the first half and 29 percent in the second half. They made just one of their 15 3-pointers. Bailey Hockett and Woodley led the Ducks with 10 points apiece.

St. George’s 51, NW Christian 48

Down by 3 with 8.3 seconds left, the Crusaders could not get a good look at the basket, giving the Dragons third place.

Hailey Higashi shined once again for St. George’s. She shot 11 of 19 from the field, including 5 of 9 3-pointers, for 29 points She added eight rebounds.

The Dragons had an 11-point lead in the second quarter, but NWC clawed back to make it a nail-biter in the final quarter.

The Crusaders outrebounded the Dragons 37-27, but St. George’s shot 41 percent from the field compared to the Crusaders’ 35.3 percent.

Courtney Gray recorded 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, and Mackenzie Gray added 13 and six rebounds for Northwest Christian, who took fifth place with the loss.

DeSales 55, MWP 34

Allison Wujek and Ashlyn Lyons scored 16 apiece to carry the Irish to victory over the Timberwolves.

DeSales took fourth place with the win, and the MWP settled for sixth.

The Irish used a 16-3 run in the second half to seize control of the game, and outscored the Timberwolves 35-17 in the second half. The Timberwolves shot just 19.5 percent from the field in the loss.

Whitney Elledge scored a team-high 15 points for the Timberwolves and added four assists.
