Obituary: Finch, Louise Mryl

FINCH, Louise Mryl Passed away peacefully at home on December 23rd, 2013 at the age of 97.

She lived a long and wonderful life, born in Iowa, the youngest of seven children.

She and Bob Finch were married on March 3rd, 1956 and she became a step-mother to Dody and David.

They moved to Spokane, WA in the ‘60s where she became very involved in her church, St. Stephens Episcopal.

She loved her garden and always had beautiful flowers all around her yard and house.

She was an excellent bridge player and loved playing with her friends.

When her hearing and vision declined she had to stop playing.

Louise moved to the Seattle area to be closer to her granddaughter and family.

She missed her friends and church family so much but was grateful to be near her great-grandchildren.

She was able to spend a lot of time with them.

They made each other smile and laugh all the time and they meant the world to her.

She will be deeply missed but we all know she is in heaven and will be reunited with her dear husband Bob and Dody.

She is survived by her son David Finch; grandchildren Jim Locke, John Locke (wife Jamie and extended family), and Laura Shaw (husband Carl); her great-grandchildren Mason (9), Logan (6) and Hayden (4) Shaw; her extended family, Allen Locke (wife Jeanyne), Jeff, Julia, and John Brunzell; great-grandchildren, Fischer Brunzell, Katy and Cameron Read, and Wren Brunzell.

There will be a service at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 5720 South Perry St., Spokane 99223 on March 29th at 1:00 pm with Rev.

John Hay presiding.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Stephens Gift and Memorial Fund.
