Obituary: Ring, Sharon Kaye

Age 72

RING, Sharon Kay (Age 72) Sharon Kay Ring passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Life Care Center in Ritzville.

She was born on December 15, 1941 in Spokane, WA; grew up in Keller, WA; and attended Wilbur Grade School and High School.

She moved to Waukon with her parents and graduated from Cheney High School in 1959.

Sharon was a Diamond Spur Rodeo Princess, as well as a member of the All-North West Chorus and Eastern Washington Honor Band.

She was a baton twirler and played basketball.

Sharon was a long time resident of Lincoln County where she raised her children (Edwall, WA) and worked as a U.S.

Postal Clerk in Waukon, WA; Creston, WA; and later in Spokane, WA.

Eventually she moved to Spokane and attended Spokane Community College graduating with an A.A. degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management in 1992.

Sharon will be remembered as a mother who only wanted the best for her children.

Her parents Harold Eldon Ring and Marilyn Janet Kirkwood and her brother Harold Matthew (Hal) Ring preceded Sharon in death.

She is survived by her brother and sister, Robert Ring of McMinnville OR and Judith Winters of Willamina, OR; her six children: Troy (Tawnya) Rux, Janet (Eric) Bogle, Joe (Beth) Kintschi, Susie Harwood, Margie (Brian) Denton, Jackie (Jesse) Allen; her sixteen grandchildren: Aaron, Adam Jr. (Tiffany), Josh, Chris, Kenan (Bethany), Hailey, Nathan, Jourdan, Riley, Corban, Jaxson, Abigail, Jenna, Phoebe, Simeon, and Elizabeth; her four great-grandchildren: Ivan, Liam, Eoin, and Emme Jo; and numerous nieces (great) and nephews (great).

A memorial celebrating Sharon’s life will be held this summer.
