Diana was the oldest of four children born to Donald “Don” and Mildred “Millie” Aalgaard of Spokane.
Diana is survived by her children: Denise A. Dopkins, Diana R. and Brian Jones, Nancy M. Colwell, Richard W. and Emma Colwell, and Brandi L. Herbert; Diana’s siblings, Daryl W. and Sue Aalgaard, Connie J. and Ken Randall, and Cheri D. and Jerry Brockob and their families; as well as numerous grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Diana was born in Fargo, North Dakota on October 21, 1947.
She came to Spokane as a small child and spent the rest of her life here.
Diana was married early in life and had her first two children prior to a divorce.
She remarried Richard J. Colwell before delivering her last four children.
Richard preceded Diana in death and on Friday March 14th, they will again be reunited in their shared plot.
Also, preceding Diana were her parents, Don and Millie; as well as her oldest son, Robert J. Dopkins.
There will be a memorial service for Diana on Friday March 14th at 12:30PM at Hennessey Smith Funeral Home, at 2203 N. Division St. Spokane.
There will be a small grave side service at 2:00PM, for family, at Holy Cross Cemetery.
