JACOBS, Lola L.

Lola Jacobs passed away on March 16, 2014 at age 97.

Lola Leona (Pollock) Jacobs was born July 22, 1916 to Hershell and Katie (Kaus) Pollock, in Westlake, ID.

The family moved to Cottonwood, Idaho where she attended school.

In 1941 she was married to Cyril Jacobs, of Nezperce, Idaho.

The newlyweds moved to Pullman, WA and purchased their first home and business property adjacent to the WSU (then WSC) campus.

Through the years Lola and Cy operated several successful
businesses on the corner of Colorado and C Street in Pullman.

The property has remained in the family for the past 73 years.

The Valhalla Grill is currently the primary tenant on the property.

Lola was predeceased by a son, James, in 1942 and her husband Cy in 2003.

She is survived by her sister, Audrey Knight, her five children: Jay and Nancy S. Jacobs, Camille and Paul Bolinger, Jonnie and Mark Bergeron, Denise Eggers, and Nancy M. Jacobs along with ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
Vigil Rosary services will be Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 7pm with visitation beginning at 6pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 428 W. 19th, Spokane.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10am also at St. Augustine Catholic Church with committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall St., Spokane where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Autumn Years, an assisted living home, for the excellent care provided to our Mother for the past several years.
