Wage fix is better

It is interesting to hear our Republican representatives and those with business interests suggest an increase of the Earned Income Tax Credit instead of a minimum wage increase.

Simply stated, the Earned Income Tax Credit is a reverse income tax for low-income earners. Once a year, at tax time, you may get a refund larger than your withholding tax.

The problem? Not everyone who earns minimum wage gets it. Raising the minimum wage is by far the fairer fix.
