Obituary: Tanner, Mary V.

TANNER,
Mary V.

Our beloved wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend lost her courageous battle with cancer on March 16, 2014.

Mary was born on June 24, 1941, to Erling and Grace (Rugland) Norgaard in Vally City, North Dakota.

Mary loved crafting, decorating her home for all holidays, anything copper, and BINGO.

Most of her adult life, Mary was associated in one way or another with the Air Force.

She loved all animals and worked at the veterinarian clinic at Fairchild AFB for over 20 years.

One of her greatest pleasures was watching the Tankers and Bombers during her lunch time.

She was also a Life Member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Patricia, and son, Corey Busche.

She is survived by her husband, James Tanner, son, Kenneth Busche, stepson, Allen Tanner, stepdaughter, Kathi Meyer, sisters, Grace Olsburg and Nancy Nelson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 3386 on March 23, at 6 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary’s name to the American Cancer Society.

A very special Thanks to Hospice of Spokane for all their support during this very difficult time.
