Matson attended Gonzaga, where she received her B.A. in English and her M.A. in Educational Leadership. Her first collection of poetry, “The Moons,” was published in 2012 from Blue Begonia Press. Matson teaches at a small experiential high school and helped found RiverSpeak, a Spokane-area arts forum (2009-2012).
