Liberty Lake Blotter: Fraudulent credit card charge reported

A man told police March 13 that someone had used his credit card to pay $4,326 for four round-trip airline tickets from Sudan to Iraq, Liberty Lake Police Chief Brian Asmus said.

The man was able to get reimbursed by his bank, but he told police that he got a phone call from someone with a Middle Eastern accent who claimed to be with a travel agency who wanted to know if the incident had been reported to police, Asmus said. The information has been forwarded for additional investigation, Asmus said.
