Navy RB collapses

SUNDAY, MARCH 23, 2014

A freshman running back on the Navy football team collapsed during spring practice Saturday morning in Annapolis, Md., and was airlifted to a hospital. Will McKamey was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Unit, according to a Navy official. McKamey is a member of the Third Company at the Naval Academy. He was an All-State selection and was named Mr. Football for the state of Tennessee as a senior. According to a statement released by the school, “The entire Naval Academy family is shaken by this turn of events and we are providing all the support we can to Will and his family.” – Associated Press
