North Spokane ice cream shop robbed

An armed robber stole cash from a Baskin Robbins ice cream shop Tuesday, but declined to take any of the 31 flavors with him when he fled. Spokane Police are investigating the 2:30 p.m. robbery near the corner of Northwest Boulevard and North Monroe Street. The suspect is a white male about 30 years old, six feet tall and wearing a gray jacket and a gray hat. He flashed a gun and demanded money, police said. It is the tenth robbery of small shops, including espresso stands and sandwich shops. Guns were used in all of the robberies. Police say a burgundy-colored Chrysler PT Cruiser may be involved in the crimes.
