Auto-Vue Drive In survives
The Then and Now feature in Monday’s paper said the Auto-Vue Drive In in Colville closed permanently in 2013. Owner Steve Wisner told columnist Doug Clark that it had, with no way to convert to digital format or replace its aging screen. But a winter fundraiser has allowed purchase of a small digital projector and a used screen from the defunct drive-in in Soap Lake. Wisner hopes to have the equipment installed to open the Auto-Vue on the first weekend in May, showing previously released movies from DVDs.
