Obituary: Roberts, Brett

ROBERTS, Brett On March 4th, we lost our beloved Brett after his brave battle with cancer.

Brett leaves behind his heartbroken family: Wife, Suzanne (Issaquah), daughters, Caitlin and Sarah, parents, Dena and Gary Roberts (Bellevue), brother, Bryan and sister-in-law, Laine Seeley (Bellevue), in-laws, Carole and Howard Hinck (Beaverton, OR), sister- and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Curt Hinck (Beaverton), nephews (Henry Roberts, Trevor and Tyler Hinck) and nieces (Kathryn Roberts and Lindsey Hinck) as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends and colleagues.

Brett faced cancer with tremendous grace and courage.

His warm smile, huge heart, ever-present humor and positive nature will forever inspire us.

Born in Spokane on February 4, 1962, Brett attended University of Washington, pledged Sigma Nu Fraternity and graduated from the Business School in 1984.

He began his career at MacMillan Blodel in Portland, OR.

Brett met his wife, Suzanne, in 1982 and they married on September 13, 1986.

Brett joined Boeing in 1987 and remained there until his death.

Issaquah has been Brett and Suzanne’s home for over 26 years and where they raised their two daughters.

Brett was a wonderful and beloved father.

Two services will honor Brett: A Celebration of His Life, Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 2 pm at Crossroads Bible Church, Bellevue and April 12 at 2 pm in Ritzville, WA at the Zion Congregational Philadelphia Church.

Remembrances can be made to the Kaplan Cancer Research Fund @ www.swedishtributegifts.org/brett-roberts in honor of Brett and our outstanding Dr. Hank Kaplan, his staff and the Swedish Hospital staff to whom the family will be forever grateful for their care and compassion.
