Age 67
Steven was born in Withee, WI.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1978, serving twenty-four years.
He spent two tours in Vietnam, plus an additional 10 Ă‚Ë?
months with Special Forces.
Steve went above and beyond his call of duty earning many badges, medals, citations, and ribbons, including a Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation.
Steve retired honorably from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class.
Steve retired in Colorado Springs, CO where he worked at the Woodshed.
After the death of his wife, he moved to Washington to be close to his brother.
He loved to fish and had a passion for building.
He gave generously to his community, and retired from the Wellpinit School District.
Steven was preceded in death by his wife, Joan R. Zagorski; his brother, Richard P. Zagorski; and his parents, William and Magdelena Zagorski.
He is survived by six children, seventeen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four brothers, five sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was loved and will be missed by many.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10am in the Ball & Dodd Chapel, 5100 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA.
Steven’s final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Fountain, CO.
