“HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER” SERIES FINALE: OK, so it wasn’t always “legendary,” to use someone’s favorite word. But over nine seasons, “HIMYM” amused us, and moved us, and provided us with all kinds of silly catchphrases. Now, the gang suits up for its hourlong season finale and, if all goes well, Barney and Robin (Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders) will get hitched and Ted (Josh Radnor) will finally meet his one true love (Cristin Milioti). We can’t wait for it. 8 p.m. Monday, CBS.

SUNDAY: That sweet little bundle of joy known as “Call the Midwife” returns for a third season. There are more babies (and drama) to deliver, after all. 7 p.m., KSPS; 8 p.m., KCDT.
SUNDAY: After being scattered all about Georgia in recent episodes, our intrepid survivors of “The Walking Dead” start to reconnect in the Season 4 finale. Of course, we don’t expect the good vibes to last for long. 9 p.m., AMC.
MONDAY: How do you replace “HIMYM”? Just bring on another sitcom about young, attractive white people searching for love and happiness, and call it “Friends With Better Lives.” The cast includes James Van Der Beek and Kevin Connolly. 9 p.m., CBS.
MONDAY: Think of “House of Food” as a blend of “Top Chef” and “The Real World.” It’s a culinary competition that has eight untrained young cooks living together in a house and vying for the chance to apprentice with some master chefs. 10 p.m., MTV.
TUESDAY: Headlined by its sweet-faced, but potty-mouthed star, “Inside Amy Schumer” was one of TV’s funniest surprise hits last year. So expectations are sky high as it returns for another season of scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy, and woman-on-the-street interviews. 10:30 p.m., Comedy Central.
WEDNESDAY: Now that tensions between Russia and the United States have again heightened, we’re watching cold-war drama “The Americans” with a little more unease. Still can’t take our eyes off Philip and Elizabeth (Matthew Rhys, Keri Russell), though. 10 p.m., FX.
THURSDAY: On a new episode of “Parenthood,” Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) and Camille (Bonnie Bedelia) come to an agreement on the house. They aren’t really going to sell, are they? Then again, considering Bay Area property values, they’d be rich. 10 p.m., NBC.
FRIDAY: It’s “Hawaii Five-0,” DYI style. Fans helped to create tonight’s episode by voting on key elements of the story, including the scene of the crime, the murder weapon, wardrobe, music and more. Go ahead and book it, Danno. 9 p.m., CBS.
FRIDAY: The Chances finally ran out of chances. “Raising Hope,” a hilarious, but modestly rated comedy, ends its run with a one-hour series finale. Among the guest stars: Singer Kenny Loggins. 9 p.m., Fox.
SATURDAY: It figures to be a “Happy” installment of “Saturday Night Live” as Pharrell Williams – and his humongous hat – provide the musical entertainment. Our host? Actress Anna Kendrick. 11:29 p.m., NBC.
