Obituary: Andrusko, Nicholas

Age 94

ANDRUSKO, Nicholas December 30, 1919 - March 23, 2014 Nick was born to Ukrainian immigrants, Mary and Nicholas, in Perth Amboy, NJ.

There were 10 children.

He played football and worked on fishing boats before graduating from Perth Amboy High School.

Nick served in the US Army Air Corps and US Air Force for 24 years.

He was in WWII and the Korean War as a mechanic, aerial gunner, and maintenance officer.

He traveled the world and fished in every ocean.

He retired in 1965 as a Lt.

Colonel in Spokane.

His name, along with his brothers’, is honored on the Wall at the Perth Amboy Veterans Memorial.

Nick was married to Dorothy for 65 years.

She passed away in 2006.

He is survived by his daughters: Judith and Priscilla; grandchildren: John, Julie, Matthew, Timothy and Joseph; great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Katherine.

Nick’s memory will be honored by his family later this summer.
