Obituary: Hull, T. James

Age 69

HULL, T. James Passed away peacefully on March 20, 2014 after a long struggle with diabetes and heart disease.

He was born as Theous James Hull in Kalamazoo, Michigan on September 12, 1944.

T. James had many losses in his early life, losing his parents, sisters Judy and Patty, and brother Tommy.

After that he lived many years on the road known as Jim, and by the nicknames of Happy Hobo, King of the Road, and Fisherman Jim.

When he came to Spokane he found his home at Central United Methodist Church, and with wives Sandy, and then Ellen who passed in 2001.

In 2004 T. James and Kathy Barrick were united and together they enjoyed 10 wonderful years of life, serving with Shalom Ministries, Kairos Prison Ministries, Rockford Lions Club, and at Central and Rockford United Methodist Churches.

They also enjoyed traveling and socializing with their many friends.

T. James is survived by the families he inherited and loved; children Tom Dyrland, Sean Hey, Leah Whetstone (Wiley), Todd Morefield; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brother’s in-law, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

T. James impacted many lives and will be greatly missed for his wonderful stories, caring heart, beautiful smile, and big hugs.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 518 W 3rd Ave.
