Home of Valley shooting had gang tags, pot plants

Marijuana plants and gang tags were found at a Spokane Valley home where two men were shot and wounded last week.

Spokane County sheriff’s deputies investigated the scene inside a home at the corner of Broadway Avenue and Dick Road on Friday and found multiple spent pistol rounds in the yard and bloodstains inside the house, according to court documents. Marijuana plants were found in a tent pitched in the home’s backyard.

Two men were contacted at Spokane Valley Hospital and had gunshot injuries to the wrist and toes. Neither of them offered information to detectives.

Investigators noted gang symbols spray-painted on a street sign near the house. No arrests have been announced in the incident.
