She is survived by her husband of 57 years Elden, twin daughters Monique and Michelle and two grand children.

She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics.
She worked over 30 years at the Spokane Veterans Administration Hospital first as Chief Dietician.
During her career the VA’s food service department was awarded the prestigious Ivy Award for outstanding culinary achievement.
This is an honor for restaurants to achieve and almost unheard of for hospitals.
Marilyn was ahead of her time juggling a full time career and caring for a family.
She inspired her daughters to be well educated, career minded and independent women.
She had many hobbies that included knitting, sewing and reading.
She was an accomplished pianist.
Marilyn was well liked whether you had known her for a short time or had years of friendship.
Her gentle and kind nature will be greatly missed.
