Obituary: Lautenschlager, Dorothy Jean

Age 89

LAUTENSCHLAGER, Dorothy Jean March 29, 1925 - April 23, 2014 Born in Lancaster, WA to Richard and Marie Scharffer, she was the oldest child, preceded in death by her sister, Betty.

Dorothy was a licensed beautician and did many other jobs in her lifetime.

The one she enjoyed the most, was doing peoples’ hair in their homes that couldn’t get out.

She married Wally Lautenschlager, March 3, 1955 in Montana.

They had three children: John and Jackie Lautenschlager of Spokane; Tim Lautenschlager of St. John; and Nancy Wade of Spokane.

Five grandchildren: Josh Cordell of Vacaville, CA; Ben Cordell of Spokane; Nolan and Sheena Loomis of Spokane; Ashley Loomis of Spokane; preceded in death by Kelsey Cordell.

Three great-grandchildren: Owen Loomis, Mathew Loomis and Leroy Loomis.

Dorothy passed at her daughter’s home with help from Hospice after she broke her leg.

She was a wonderful person who touched a lot of lives.

She will be deeply missed.
