Obituary: Vivit, Romero Jan, Sr. “Butch”

Age 72

VIVIT, Romero Jan, Sr. “Butch” Butch was born the son of Amado (Billy) and Theresa (Trix) Vivit at Deaconess Hospital on August 14, 1941.

He passed away suddenly on April 29, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Butch is survived by his wife Elaine; children Romero Jr, Troy, Dominic, Patricia, Lani, Roberto; and his cousin Jean; along with 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents; sister Rosemary; cousin Connie; and his grandson Romero Vivit, III.

Butch lived his entire life in Spokane where he was a talented chef at several places; such as The Black Angus, The Ridpath Hotel, The Highland House, and even at home.

He loved the great outdoors; his hobbies included fishing, hunting and carpentry.

He had a great sense of humor.

Butch was a family man and was well loved by all who knew him, he will be greatly missed.

This world is a better place because he walked through it.

Please join us in celebration of Butch’s life, Monday, May 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Sunset Chapel, Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave. A reception and potluck will follow at Butch’s Family Home.
