Colville police officer charged with child rape

A Colville police officer has been jailed in Chelan County on suspicion of raping a child. Scott Arms, 43, faces a charge of first-degree child rape, jail records indicate. He is being held on a $25,000 bond. Investigators arrested Arms after a school counselor told them of the alleged assault, according to KHQ. Arms was arrested at a home in Douglas County. He splits time between Colville and the Wenatchee area. Arms was an investigator in the high-profile case against two Colville fifth graders accused of threatening to rape and kill a classmate in early 2013. Authorities in Colville and Chelan County did not respond to interview requests Tuesday evening.
