Motorcyclist killed in accident near Medical Lake

By The Spokesman-Review

A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision with a car on State Route 902 at Craig Road just east of Medical Lake Saturday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Spokane resident Thomas P. Bacon, 59, was riding his 2004 Harley Davidson west on State Route 902. A 2013 Ford F-150 truck driven by Frank C. Watson, 71, of Saint John, was stopped on Craig Road heading north. Watson pulled out in front of Bacon, the WSP said, and Watson will be cited for failure to yield.

Watson and his passenger, 72-year-old Billie J. Watson, were uninjured. Both were wearing their seat belts. Bacon, who died of his injuries at Sacred Heart Medical Center, was wearing a helmet.
