Shortchanged in Spokane
Your editorial of May 8 is right on the money. As an advocate for seniors and senior issues, it is important that true “East Siders” have access to legislators during the session.
I agree with the remote testimony, but another solution would be to hold the legislative sessions at a time of year when driving to Olympia is not impossible, or quite dangerous. A face-to-face meeting with a legislator is much more meaningful than the remote solution, in my opinion. On this side of the state, we are being shortchanged during the legislative process and that needs changing.
