People: Casey Kasem’s current location unknown

From Wire Reports

A judge on Monday ordered an investigation into the whereabouts of Casey Kasem after an attorney for the ailing radio personality’s wife said the former “Top 40” host had been removed from Los Angeles without his children’s knowledge.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Daniel Murphy ordered a court investigator and adult protective services to find out where Kasem is being treated and report back to the court. Kasem, 82, suffers from advanced Parkinson’s disease, can no longer speak and has been in various medical facilities chosen by his wife, Jean Kasem.

Casey Kasem’s children have complained that they have been unable to see their father in accordance with an agreement with their stepmother. Daughter Kerri Kasem had sought a temporary conservatorship and was appointed her father’s temporary caretaker on Monday. Her attorney, Troy Martin, said the family believes the entertainer has been taken to an Indian reservation in Washington state.

Murphy’s order came after Craig Marcus, an attorney who appeared on Jean Kasem’s behalf at Monday’s hearing, said he did not know where the radio personality was but that he was “no longer in the United States.”

Boy Scouts help Ann Curry after injury

Ann Curry has reported from the most dangerous places on Earth, yet when she broke her leg during a recent hike, it was a troop of New Jersey Boy Scouts that came to her rescue.

Curry was hiking with her family on Bear Mountain in New York’s Harriman State Park on April 5 when she hurt her leg.

Members of Troop 368 from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, came across the injured NBC News correspondent sitting along the trail after her family had tried unsuccessfully to carry her down the rugged mountain path, according to Scouting Magazine. Curry encouraged the Scouts to keep going, but seeing she was in pain and needed medical attention, they quickly fashioned a splint for her injured ankle and crafted a stretcher from logs and a tarp. They carried her down the mountain to where her husband and son brought their car to rush her to the hospital.

Video of Solange, Jay Z attack leaked

The Standard Hotel in New York City says it is investigating the leak of a security video that appears to show Beyonce’s sister, Solange, attacking Jay Z.

TMZ posted the minute-long video Monday and said it was shot last week inside a Standard Hotel elevator. It appears to show Solange attacking Jay Z in Beyonce’s presence. A security guard intervenes. There is no audio.

Jay Z, 44, and Beyonce, 32, were married in 2008. They will kick off their co-headlining “On the Run Tour” on June 25 in Miami. Solange, 27, recently performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where Beyonce joined her onstage.
