Gunshot wound to man’s leg thought to be self-inflicted

A man on his way to the emergency room Thursday evening called police to report that he’d been shot in the leg. So far investigators believe the wound was self inflicted, said Spokane Police Department spokeswoman Monique Cotton. “There does not appear to be an outstanding suspect,” she said. The non-life threatening wound appears to be accidental, Cotton said. Investigators are continuing to look into the incident to determine if the man should be charged with making a false police report, said Cotton.
