Kyle Fager, Courtney Provan win District 8 4A tennis singles titles

Top-seeded Kyle Fager of Lewis and Clark defeated second-seeded Josiah Hopkins of Mead 6-2, 6-3 in the championship match of the District 8 4A tournament at Gonzaga Prep.

Courtney Provan of Ferris defeated Lizzy Marcinkowski of Gonzaga Prep 6-0, 6-0 in the championship match.

Jill Louthian and Kaley Lenhart defeated Ferris teammates Kjersti Strandness and Rachel Koentopp 6-3, 6-1 in girls doubles while LC’s boys duo of Luke Brittan and Jordan Strandness won 6-3, 6-2.

3A: Shadle Park’s Audra Spargo defeated Kayla Uplinger 4-6, 7-6, 6-2 for the girls singles title and Kyle Smithgall defeated U-Hi boys teammate Tyler Bates 6-3, 6-4. University’s Seth Olson and Josh Ramsey claimed the doubles title with a 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 6-3 victory over fellow Titans Brad Earl and Andy Jackson.
