Suspected thieves arrested in Whitman County with Spokane goods

UPDATE, 3:09 P.M.: Robert Dewbre was arrested in Spokane on potential charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of stolen property from Whitman County, according to a news release. ORIGINAL STORY: Three men were arrested in Whitman County on Thursday afternoon after sheriff’s deputies discovered thousands of dollars in stolen property at their residence, including items reported stolen in Spokane. Keith Kautzman, 47; Sean MacLean, 46; and Robert Dewbre, 37; were all taken into custody and face potential stolen property charges in area courts after the bust, which occurred at a rural residence near Thornton, Washington, north of Colfax. Deputies found on the property multiple recreational vehicles, a dirt bike and a Honda dune buggy, according to a news release. Also recovered were a laptop and two chain saws that had been reported stolen out of Spokane, investigators said. Kautzman was arrested for an outstanding Spokane County warrant alleging possession of stolen property as well as a Stevens County drug charge. Methamphetamine was found among the stolen items Thursday, deputies said. MacLean and Dewbre will also face charges, according to the news release.
