Obituary: Masek, Scott Elwin

Age 60

MASEK, Scott Elwin April 26, 1954 - April 17, 2014 Scott’s sudden death was caused by cardiovascular collapse.

He was born to Milo and Marjorie Masek in Spokane.

Scott attended Hamblin, Sacagawea and graduated from Ferris High School.

He worked for Sutherland Mercury Auto Company.

His college education was cut short when offered a job as Service Writer for the company.

He had an opportunity to purchase a candy and tobacco route selling in towns west of Spokane.

His life changed directions which took him to Phoenix, AZ, followed by San Diego, CA.

Scott received his pilot’s license at age 26.

He enjoyed boating on Pend Oreille, Coeur d’Alene and Priest Lake.

Riding his BMW motorcycle gave him years of pleasure.

Scott is survived by his mother Marjorie, and sister Laurie Briggs of Olympia, WA; brother Craig, Phoenix, AZ; nephews Jason and Austin Briggs, niece Tessa Rose Briggs of Seattle, WA.

Private urn interment at Spokane Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date.
