1 Memorial Ceremony – North Spokane

11 a.m.-noon Monday, Fairmount Memorial Park, Iwo Jima Memorial, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave. Conducted by The Melvin M. Smith Detachment, Marine Corps League. 2 Memorial Day Ceremony 10:30 a.m. Monday, Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Road, Medical Lake. The Washington Department of Veteran Affairs’ Memorial Day Ceremony will begin with a musical tribute from the Project Joy Orchestra, followed by a ceremony at 11 a.m. Parking is available at the cemetery with overflow available along Ritchey Road. 3 Liberty Lake Community Memorial Day Salute and Breakfast 8-10 a.m. Monday, Pavillion Park, 727 N. Molter Road, Liberty Lake. Presented by Liberty Lake Centennial Rotary Club. Breakfast served with all you-can-eat pancakes, ham, eggs and coffee. A dedication ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. for the Fallen Heroes Circuit Course in memory of U.S. Air Force Capt. Victoria Pinckney, who was killed along with two airmen when their refueling plane went in Kyrgyzstan in May 2013 and was stationed at Fairchild AFB. (509) 251-0360. 4 Memorial Day Service 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, Saturday-Monday, Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, 508 N. Government Way. Paying tribute to those who have died at this Memorial Weekend event, “Remembering a Giant of American Industry: Henry Ford.” Music celebrating the Jazz Age each day at noon and 2 p.m. in the Heritage Chapel, pictures and automobile memorabilia, veterans display, aerospace display, antique and classic car display featuring Ford’s finest, tree of remembrance and refreshments in the Heritage reception room. A band concert at the Cross of Inspiration at Greenwood Memorial Terrace will take place on Sunday at 6 p.m. (509) 838-8900. Admission: FREE

5 Memorial Day Breakfast 7:30 to 10 a.m. Monday, American Legion Hall, 116 College Ave., Cheney. The morning includes a walk at 10:30 a.m. to the Fairview Cemetery for a Memorial program at 11:15 a.m., presented by the American Legion Post 72, Auxiliary 72, VFW and the Eastern Washington University ROTC. 8 Stateline Street Fair

10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Greyhound Park and Events Center, 5100 W. Riverbend Road, Post Falls. Vendors selling arts and crafts, health and beauty, home and garden, footwear, jewelry, clothes and accessories, produce, plants and more can be found on the track’s infield. A food court features fare from Longhorn BBQ, Whiskey River Pizza, JB’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese, GW Hunters Prime Rib, Huli Huli Chicken, Joseph’s New York Italian Sausages and more.
