4: ‘Love Letters’
Ellen Travolta and Jack Bannon will star in this benefit for Lake City Playhouse and the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation. Two lifelong friends tell the story of their relationship through the letters they’ve written to each other, in this popular play by A.R. Gurney. As the actors read the letters aloud, what is created is evocative, touching and frequently funny.

5: Spokane Poetry Slam Finals
This slam features the top eight poets from the 2013-14 Spokane Poetry Slam season – Chris Cook, Katie Schmarr, Travis Naught, Danni Kiker-Pruett, Anastasia Aguon, Emily Gwinn, Katie Laughlin and Kurt Olson – to determine who will represent Spokane at the National Poetry Slam in Oakland, California, this August.
