McEuen Park Grand Opening The city of Coeur d’Alene’s revamped park at the base of Tubbs Hill opens this weekend. Splash pad will begin operation for the season and the west side of the park will open with an official ceremony at 11 a.m. and a ribbon cutting at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, followed by a hot dog lunch and live music at the new picnic shelter. 420 E. Free Science Center Day For first 150 visitors, sponsored by the Pullman Firefighters Association. Looking ahead

Lantern Fest Family-friendly night out with music, dancing and entertainment. Gates open at 8 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., there will be a lighting of lanterns that will be sent off into the sky. Music, magicians, dancers and various entertainment throughout the night, food trucks, a beer garden and merchandise for purchase.
