A Spokane Valley man crashed his motorcycle in the Coeur d’Alene National Forest just after noon today and may have broken his leg, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
Justin Yapp, 25, was on Forest Service Road #438 when he ran off the road and hit a tree, deputies say. He was taken to Kootenai Medical Center by a Life Flight helicopter. Yapp was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor, according to deputies. Yapp’s injuries are non-life threatening.
Kootenai County Fire and Rescue and Coeur d’Alene Fire assisted with the call.
