Guns and Ebola

More than 30,000 people die from guns every year while the right wing follows the gun industry’s marching orders. While over 70 percent of National Rifle Association members want universal background checks, the leadership fights it and there was a ballot measure in Washington to weaken the efforts.

Meanwhile, the same people who think 30,000 deaths are unimportant scream nonsense about Ebola. Take Ralph Ginorio’s Nov. 3 letter, for instance. It doesn’t matter that every medical expert interviewed has consistently pointed out how hard it is to transmit Ebola, he cries crocodile tears about the threat in order to insult our president for having the gall to use science and reason. It’s pathetic.
