Salsa singer Anthony ties knot with model
Grammy-winning salsa singer Marc Anthony has married his Venezuelan model girlfriend at a seaside resort in the Dominican Republic.
The 46-year-old New York-born singer of Puerto Rican roots tied the knot with 26-year-old Shannon de Lima at a Tuesday ceremony at his residence in the exclusive Dominican resort of Casa de Campo.
A few weeks ago, Anthony wrote on his Instagram account that a “surprise” was in store, posting a photo of the couple walking together.
This is the third marriage for Anthony, who has six children from previous relationships. He split in 2011 from pop singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.
Coming soon: ‘Donnie Loves Jenny’
Newlyweds Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy are ready to open up their relationship to TV cameras.
They will star in “Donnie Loves Jenny,” a 10-episode docu-series for A&E, the couple announced Tuesday.
The series is slated to premiere in 2015 with a one-hour special about their recent wedding.
Wahlberg, 45, is an actor on the CBS police drama “Blue Bloods” and is a musician with his band, New Kids on the Block.
He appears in the A&E reality show “Wahlburgers” about a family restaurant that is run by his brother Paul.
McCarthy, 42, is a best-selling author, TV personality and radio host of “Dirty, Sexy, Funny With Jenny McCarthy” on SiriusXM.
Jamison’s death linked to meth
An autopsy report shows that Jimi Jamison, the lead singer on Survivor hits such as “Burning Heart” and “Is This Love,” died of a stroke with methamphetamine intoxication.
The report released Tuesday by the Shelby County, Tennessee, medical examiner says the 63-year-old Jamison died Sept. 1 at a home in Memphis.
The autopsy says Jamison had cardiovascular disease and narrowing of the arteries. It had been believed that Jamison died of a heart attack.
The report says he died of a hemorrhagic brain stroke, with “acute methamphetamine intoxication contributing.”
Jamison joined Survivor in 1984, after it had already become known for “Eye of the Tiger,” the theme song to the Sylvester Stallone film “Rocky III.” Jamison replaced vocalist Dave Bickler.
