2 Paula Boggs 7 p.m. today, The Big Dipper, 171 S. Washington St. Paula Boggs has one of the more interesting résumés around. She’s been an Army lawyer who worked on both the Iran-Contra and Tailhook investigations. She’s been general counsel at Starbucks. Third Ave. When a psychiatrist becomes trapped in an elevator with a man acting bizarrely, he quickly learns that his decisions may have life or death consequences. 5 Super Saturday at the MAC 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, 2316 W. 9 Author Joanna Luloff 7 p.m. Thursday, Gonzaga University, Cataldo Hall, Globe Room, 502 E. Boone Ave. The Gonzaga University Visiting Writers Series brings Luloff to town. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Baddegama, Sri Lanka, before earning her Master of Fine Arts and Ph.D. Algonquin Books published her first collection of short stories, “The Beach at Galle Road” (2012). Her short stories have appeared in The Missouri Review, Confrontation, Memorious and New South. She is an assistant professor of English at the University of Colorado, Denver. (509) 313-6681.
