Obituary: Tilson, Gordon Glenn

TILSON, Gordon Glenn 88 Years of Life A longtime resident and rancher on Wild Rose Prairie passed away Friday, November 7, 2014.

Gordon is the dear husband of Evelyn Tilson and a brother to Jewel Zeihen of Chewelah, Washington.

His daughter is Patsy Whipple and his stepson is Larry Andrews (Shellie).

Gordon is predeceased by his children: Gary Tilson, William Tilson, Christine Tilson, Dale Keene, and a nephew Peter Zeihen.

His nieces are Diane Zeihen and Joanne Daniel.

Born in 1926 at Puyallip, Washington, Gordon graduated from Chewelah High School in 1944 and was briefly in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a longtime employee of the Spokane County Road Department as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator, and for many years was a volunteer fireman on Wild Rose Prairie with Fire District #4.

Gordon was a longtime active member of the Wild Rose Prairie Methodist Church and Community Center, F.O.

Eagles Aerie #2 Spokane.

Funeral Services honoring Mr. Tilson will be Saturday, November 22, 2014, 11:00 AM at the Wild Rose Prairie Methodist Church followed with a potluck dinner/ reception at the Wild Rose Community Center.

Interment will be at the I.O.O.F.

Cemetery in Rosalia, Washington.
