Obituary: Young, Shirley Ann
Age 65
She was born April 29, 1949.
Shirley was survived by Eric William Shanley, Brenda Ann Shanley-Savage, Jennifer Lynn Zimmerman, Nichole Shanley, Don Savage, Kyle Zimmerman and 12 grandchildren - Ashlynn Shanley, Evan Shanley, Taylor Wayman, Brooke Wayman, Carter Savage, Abby Savage, Lexi McCracken, AnnMarie McCracken, Jorja Zimmerman, Sadie Zimmerman, Macie Zimmerman and Madison Zimmerman.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Pauline Young and brother Ken Young.
Shirley was raised in Coeur d ‘Alene, Idaho with her parents Edwin and Pauline Young and two brothers, Ken and Bob Young.
Shirley attended and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1967 and attended North Idaho College.
Shirley raised her three children in the Spokane Valley, where she lived for 28 years.
Shirley moved to the Tri-City area in 2010 where she lived the remainder of her life caring for her grandchildren.
Shirley’s proudest accomplishment was raising her three children, that she often bragged about all their accomplishments, as Shirley often said “I must have done something right raising them”.
Shirley was very proud to be blessed with 12 grandchildren.
She cared for four of her grandchildren daily until her passing and enjoyed her individual time with the remaining eight grandchildren every chance she got.
Mom loved us all endlessly and is now our angel.
Gravesite memorial will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83815.
A celebration of life to immediately follow at Don and Brenda Savage’s home located at 24702 E. Maxwell Lane, Liberty Lake, WA 99019.
