Eastern Washington University senior volleyball player Kelsey Julian received second-team All-Big Sky honors, the conference announced Wednesday.
The Kennewick native earned her first all-conference honor after finishing the season with a team-best average of 2.78 kills per set while hitting at .257 percent, the third-best mark on the team.
Gonzaga had two recruits sign national letters of intent recently. Ryan Gaske and Tyler Munetake will play for the Bulldogs in 2015-16.
Gaske, who is from Brisbane, Australia, will join Gonzaga after he completes his career at Eastern Arizona College. He was the top medalist at the NJCAA Division I Region 1 Championships.
Munetake, a senior at Henry Perrine Baldwin High School in Wailuku, Hawaii, won the individual title for the Maui Interscholastic League this year.
Two players signed national letters of intent to join the Gonzaga baseball team – Jordan Rathbone of Spokane and Justin Vernia of Renton, Washington.
Rathbone attends Gonzaga Prep, where he also plays football. He has twice earned first-team All-GSL honors, as an outfielder as a sophomore and as a catcher as a junior.
Vernia, a pitcher, comes to Gonzaga from Tacoma Community College, where he was named Northwest Athletic Conference Western Region MVP and first-team All-NWAC.
