SPOKANE VALLEY – The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual meeting on Friday from 7 to 9 a.m. at Mirabeau Park Hotel, 1100 N. Sullivan Road.

The keynote speaker is Hoopfest co-founder Rick Steltenphol, who’s now the director of business affairs at Eventuris LLC.

The breakfast costs $25 for members; $35 for nonmembers.

Supplies needed for Ebola epidemic

SPOKANE VALLEY – The local nonprofit Christ’s Hands on Afrika is collecting items to help with the Ebola epidemic.

The organization is collecting items such as soap, bleach, hand sanitizer, gloves, masks and towels to send by container to Gambia in West Africa.

Items may be dropped off at Applebee’s, 12217 E. Mission Ave.; Jenny’s Café, 9425 E. Sprague Ave.; KiDDS Dental, 1327 N. Stanford Lane, Suite B, Liberty Lake; and Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7307 N. Nevada St.

The group is also hosting Shop With a Purpose to raise funds to send with the supplies. The event will be 5-9 p.m. Dec. 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3606 S. Schafer Road.
