Wave of talent

GU knew it was involved in the 2015 Battle 4 Atlantis. On Friday, the Zags found out the rest of the field, and it’s an impressive group.

The eight-team tournament includes GU, Michigan, Syracuse, Texas, Texas A&M, Connecticut, Charlotte and Washington, organizers announced. Gonzaga and Washington are scheduled to renew their rivalry for four straight seasons, beginning in 2016-17. There’s a chance the teams could meet in the Bahamas next November.

No. 2 Wisconsin defeated Oklahoma on Friday for the 2014 Atlantis title.
