Obituary: Esposito, Robert J. “Bob”

Age 72

ESPOSITO, Robert J.

“Bob” (Age 72) Passed peacefully on September 25th, 2014 at Hospice House of Spokane due to complications of severe Rheumatoid arthritis diabetes, and lung cancer.

Bob was born in Oakland, California on March 20th, 1942 to Robert G. Esposito and Mary Malora Esposito.

After living several places they settled in Clearlake, California, where Bob graduated from Lower Lake Union High School in 1960.

A year later he joined the Navy from 1961 - 1965, and served on the U.S.S.

Dixie.

In 1966 Bob married and had two children, and in 1979 Bob married the woman who had become his best friend and love of his life, Phyllis Blake, and together raised their five children.

Andrea Esposito Hansen, Nick Esposito, Ed Blake, Clinton Blake and Becky Blake Thiele.

Bob loved his lake place on Twin Lakes, Idaho, where he enjoyed boating, fishing and playing poker and cribbage with his friends., Bob had a sense of humor, a quick wit, and a ready joke.

His laugh was infectious and “…you couldn’t help but have him leave an impression if he ever touched your life.”

Neighbors knew him as kind and he would often lend a generous hand to those he knew of in need.

During his life he volunteered with children in the Special Olympics, Boys and Girls club, numerous school functions, and was named neighbor of the year in Spokane.

All in all he was larger than life and will be missed.

Bob is preceded in death by his eldest brother, James Dominic Esposito and youngest sister, Patti Esposito Swim.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his five children; five grandchildren: Briauna, Tayler, Hayden, Tyson and Tanner; his sister, Rosemary Lane, and her sons Randy , Greg and Gary.
