Boise author Doerr named finalist for National Book Award
Boise author Anthony Doerr’s novel “All the Light We Cannot See” – weaving the stories of a blind French girl and an orphaned German boy — was named a finalist for the National Book Award Wednesday.
In an interview last spring, Doerr told the SR that reading a novel is an act of empathy: “You’re reading a novel to enter somebody else’s world.”
Doerr was a headliner at the Spokane literature festival, Get Lit!, in April.
