Gov. Inslee’s father dies at age 88

Associated Press
OLYMPIA — The father of Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has died at age 88. The governor’s office said Tuesday that Frank E. Inslee Sr. died at an Anacortes hospital late Monday night following an illness. The late Inslee — who had lived on Lopez Island — was a retired biology teacher, high school coach and World War II naval veteran. The governor’s mother, Adele, died in 2007. Frank Inslee Sr. is survived by the governor, two other sons — Frank Jr., and Todd — seven grandchildren and four great-children. Memorial service plans are pending.
