Obituary: St. John, Anna Lorraine (Nail)

Age 90

ST. JOHN, Anna Lorraine (Nail) Passed away on October 10 in Bend.

She was born on July 17, 1924, the only child of Martha (Baeder) and Wesley Nail in Medical Lake, WA.

Known as Lorraine, she received her schooling in Medical Lake, in Spokane and graduated from high school in Chewelah, WA.

She took her nurses training at St. Ignatius Hospital in Colfax, WA and was a cadet nurse in the government training program during World War II.

Lorraine was married to Glenn St. John in 1946 at Myrtle Point, OR.

She worked as a surgical nurse and office nurse in McMinnville, OR.

After early retirement, Lorraine assisted her husband Glenn in real estate development, building seven houses and log cabins in the Sumpter/Baker City area.

She is survived by a son, Alan (wife Jan) St. John of Bend; two grandsons: Matthew St. John of Bend and Shawn (wife Vivienne) St. John of Houston, TX and two great-grandchildren: Sarah and Laura St. John.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn on July 28, 2002.

At her request, no services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
