Obituary: Van Order, Myla Eloise “Phyllis”

Age 87

VAN ORDER, Myla Eloise “Phyllis” (Age 87) Born July 11, 1927 in Amarillo, Texas to Ruth and Byron Griswold and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 21, 2014.

She came to Spokane with her mom and two brothers when they were just children.

Phyllis married Vernon Van Order on December 23, 1942 and together they raised three children in Spokane.

She liked to crochet, sew, and attend church.

Phyllis attended the Nazarene Church for over 60 years, she loved her church and her friends.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon; her daughter, Cindy Reber; and her three brothers.

She is survived by her son, Lee Van Order (Jane); daughter, Claudia Wetterling (John); son-in-law, Delbert Reber (Linda); grandchildren, Lee Anne Reber, Kelli Bonthius, Jason Reber, Scott Wetterling (Mary), Eric Wetterling (Patricia); Michael Campbell, Meredith Campbell; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today Friday, October 24 and Saturday from 9:00AM - 5:00PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. Division.

Funeral service will be Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00AM at Spokane First Church of the Nazarene 9004 N Country Homes Blvd.

Private interment will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
