Re-elect Tveit

Perhaps the most consequential of the electoral races in Stevens County’s general election is the contest for District Court judge. It is important to our county that the voters select the right candidate for this vital position. I am certain, without a doubt, that the right person for the job is our judge, Gina Tveit.

I was commissioner when our board selected from a slate of five candidates a replacement for the retiring Judge Pamela Payne. Of the five, Tveit was selected unanimously. In my estimation, she stood far superior to her current opponent, who was one of the applicants.

I have known Tveit for several years, and consider her a friend. With that, I have learned about what kind of person she is. She is honest, forthcoming, a wonderful mother and wife, and most of all, as it pertains to this position, she shows good judgment in her personal life.

I believe that how one comports oneself in their private life is a window into how they will perform in their public life.

Judge Gina Tveit is my choice, and I urge the voters to re-elect her, Stevens County’s best choice.
