Obituary: Jelsing, Gudrun “Goodie”
Age 97
JELSING, Gudrun “Goodie” Died October 22, 2014 in Spokane at the age of 97.
She was born on a farm near Berwick, North Dakota, September 17, 1917, as the youngest of seven children.
In 1941 she married Jenard Jelsing in Rugby, N.D.
They moved to Spokane in 1945.
She served her family with grace and selflessness all her life and was loved by everyone she knew.
We are grateful that God gave her 97 years, and each day she was a blessing to all those around her.
She is survived by her three sons, Jerry (Susan), Larry (Karen-Margrethe), and Kenneth (Joy); 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchilden.
Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 27 at Spokane Memorial Gardens (5909 S. Cheney-Spokane Road).
